Startupizer 2.3.2 released!

Bug fix upgrade 2.3.2 of Startupizer is now available. Recommended for all customers.

It’s been a long time since last update, almost exactly 2 years - 2.3.1 was released on december 18th 2013… Tell me how time flies :)

To be fair, there hasn’t been much maintenance needed for Startupizer, the application worked quite well aside occasional hiccups here and there. Actually the most glaring issues were related to visuals and appearance rather than behavior.

In this release I addressed window dragging and missing main menu in OS X 10.11 El Capitan. However latter came at expense: removal of menubar mode. I couldn’t find a solution that would allow both to coexist. I’m not ruling out possibility of including it back in one of future versions. But for now, I feel the solution it brings is more important than inconvenience of losing this mode; Startupizer is a short lived application by its nature after all - it’s supposed to launch items at login and then exit until next login. That’s how it was designed.

Apart from visual glitches, this release also includes couple bug fixes and under the hood improvements. See more on release notes page.

If you’re running direct download version, it should update itself as long as you have the checkbox set in preferences. Otherwise download latest version from Startupizer page.

If you’re upgrading from Mac App Store version see my previous Startupizer 2.2 release blog post for upgrade instructions so that you MAS license will be properly updated. The instructions are also printed on startupizer download page.

Note: 2.3+ requires OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or later.
